 Workplace Training for Innovation Pilot Program

Applications will be accepted until January 31, 2011, subject to availability of funding.

The Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development has established a new program initiative, Workplace Training for Innovation Program, through the Strategic Training and Transition Fund.  The program is designed to provide eligible employers with funding for employee training in order to:

Improve productivity
Support the introduction of new technology, machinery/equipment or work processes
Enhance international competitiveness
Introduce innovative training and workplace strategies to increase the long term competiveness of the organization and its workforce.
Both businesses and not-for-profit employers may be eligible to receive funding.  

Eligible employers must be:

Small organizations (less than 50 employees)
In good standing with the BC Corporate Registry
In existence for one year or more
In addition, organizations must certify that they would not undertake the training without financial assistance from the Province. Complete eligibility criteria is contained in the application form and program guidelines.

Kelowna Child Care Society CCRR Workshops

  • Child Care Resource & Referral Workshops are on a first paid first served basis.  You can phone to check if there is space available but we will not hold a space for you until payment is received. If you mail your payment and the workshop is full before your payment is received we will call you to let you know that you did not get a space.
  • There is a limit of 3 participants per workshop for each child care facility 25.00 membership and a limit of 6 participants per workshop for each child care facility 50.00 membership.
  • Workshops are Non-Refundable
  • Please note your workshop dates on your personal calendar as Kelowna CCRR Program does not phone participants to remind of workshops.
    Training certificates will be issued on the evening of your workshop. To receive a training certificate, you must arrive on time, participate, and stay for the entire session.
  • All non members will pay a straight $25.00 fee to attend workshops/networking provided by the CCRR Program with the exception of the Child Safe First Aid and community involved workshops. Costs for these will be individually listed. 
All workshops have a maximum capacity so we invite you to
call us or stop in to see if there are spaces available.
